What can you expect from a Rock the City tour with Blue Boat?

The Rock the City tour combines three iconic Amsterdam experiences in one day: the Heineken Experience, a 45-minute cruise past 17th-century canal houses aboard a special Heineken boat, and a visit to A’DAM Lookout. You decide the order yourself, but the route almost falls into place by itself. The tour is exclusively for visitors aged 18 and over.

What is included in Rock the City?

Rock the City gives you access to the Heineken Experience with two beers, a 45-minute cruise with Blue Boat Company with one beer on board, and access to A’DAM Lookout with both the indoor and outdoor observation deck. Please note: the swing at A’DAM Lookout is not included in the ticket.

From what age is the Rock the City tour accessible?

The Rock the City tour is accessible to visitors aged 18 and over. Visitors under 18 are unfortunately not able to take part.

How does booking and planning Rock the City work?

For Rock the City, you reserve a time slot in advance for the Heineken Experience and the cruise. For A’DAM Lookout, you receive an open ticket that you exchange on site for the next available time slot. Allow at least 2.5 hours between the Heineken Experience and the cruise. Make sure you are present at least 15 minutes before the start of the Heineken Experience and the cruise.

Is a printed voucher required or is my phone enough?

A printed voucher is not required; a mobile voucher on your phone is also accepted. After booking, you receive your tickets straight away, so you are ready to go in no time.

This cruise was well worth the money. We were on boat for an hour and a half. We went in an evening trip which was beautiful with all the lights. We got to see parts of Amsterdam we had missed, but will definitely be returning so we can go and visit these also. Boat was lovely and warm and drinks were reasonably priced. Staff very friendly.

Great customer service from the ticket office staff and great tour with info on sights as you go via free earphones (multi-languages). Plus you can stand out at the back of the boat for photos. Nice and steady piloting through the canals. Great for adults & children (kids get an activity pack). Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the canal cruises once during the day and once in the evening, including beautiful lighting! The whole team was very courteous, the distance regulations were observed and there was interesting information to be heard on the trips themselves 🙂 We would recommend the “Blue Boat Company” to everyone and choose them again as a canal cruise operator the next time we visit!

Amsterdam is a magical place and this is a great way to see it. The food was good, the drinks were plentiful, and this served as a treat for my wife and I after a long day off exploring on foot.
