For two hours, you will be carried along the IJ, surrounded by illuminated masts, flying flags and the festive atmosphere of this world-famous event.

What can you expect from the Evening SAIL Spectacle Cruise?

During this special evening cruise, you will see Amsterdam as you have never seen it before. The canal boat departs in the evening from Overhoeksplein in Amsterdam-Noord, just as the city calms down and the IJ comes to life.

The cruise lasts two hours and takes you past the most beautiful spots of the SAIL grounds. The Tall Ships form the backdrop for light shows and music on the water. Along the way, we will serve a selection of delicious cheeses, sourced from Dutch farms. This of course includes a good glass of wine, beer or soft drink.

Where do you depart and how long does it take?

The Evening SAIL Spectacle departs from the dock at the Overhoeksplein in Amsterdam-Noord. Be there on time, because we leave at 9:30 PM sharp.
From 10 PM, we will sail quietly through the illuminated SAIL area and you will have plenty of time to watch, enjoy and take pictures. Around 11:30 PM, we will dock again and you will have had an unforgettable experience.

• SAIL 2025 is from 20 to 24 August 2025
• The cruise lasts approximately two hours
• You will depart and arrive at Overhoeksplein, 1031 KS in Amsterdam
• A cheeseboard and a drink are included
• Additional drinks are available on board
• Unfortunately, this cruise is not suitable for wheelchairs
• Dogs are not allowed, with the exception of assistance dogs
• We recommend arriving fifteen minutes before departure
