Step aboard and discover Amsterdam’s LGBTQIA+ history from a unique perspective: the city’s iconic canals. Accompanied by a live guide, you’ll cruise past landmarks that played an important role in the fight for equality, acceptance and freedom. Along the way, you’ll pass highlights such as the Homomonument, the Westerkerk and Amsterdam City Hall, where the world’s first same-sex marriage took place in 2001. A unique canal cruise created especially for World Pride 2026.

What is included in the Historic Pride Cruise?

Your ticket includes a 90-minute canal cruise with a live guide, who will bring Amsterdam’s LGBTQIA+ history to life. Upon arrival, you’ll receive one complimentary drink to enjoy during the cruise. Fancy another? Our onboard host will be happy to serve additional drinks throughout the journey.

When does the Historic Pride Cruise depart?

The Historic Pride Cruise is exclusively available during World Pride 2026. Cruises depart on July 24, 25 and 30, and August 2, 7 and 8, at 5:00 PM. The cruise lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Where does the Historic Pride Cruise depart from?

The Historic Pride Cruise departs from Blue Boat Company’s dock opposite the Hard Rock Cafe at Stadhouderskade 501, Amsterdam. The departure point is easy to reach by public transport or on foot from the city centre.

Where can I buy tickets for the Historic Pride Cruise?

Tickets can be booked easily online through the Blue Boat Company website. As this is a special cruise with limited departures during World Pride 2026, we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.

Wat houd ik toch van deze stad! Zo waanzinnig mooi. En zeker vanaf het water is het een geweldige ervaring om Amsterdam te ontdekken. De geweldige grachtenpanden kun je zo nog beter bekijken. En af en toe binnen gluren bij de woonboten.
Stiekem ben ik best een beetje jaloers op mensen die elke dag in deze stad mogen zijn.

Amsterdam is een prachtige stad. Maar als je Amsterdam van een heel andere kant wilt zien, dan is het een aanrader om dit met een rondvaartboot te doen. Je komt op de mooiste plekken van Amsterdam. Er word heel veel verteld over Amsterdam, zeker over het ontstaan. Dus voordat je gaat wandelen door de straten van Amsterdam eerst even met de rondvaartboot mee. Een hele belevenis.

Heel erg leuk om te zitten kijken naar de mensen en oud amsterdamse huizen vanuit een rondvaartboot, ik had een kapitein die af en toe de microfoon pakte en wat vertelde over sommige woningen/herenhuizen/pakhuizen etc. Je leert veel over waarom de huizen zo smal maar zo hoog waren gebouwd, ik hoorde ook van wie sommige herenhuizen waren die in de gouden eeuw gebouwd werden, vanuit t water is amsterdam een bijzondere ervaring, en als je wat wilt weten dan moet je het gewoon vragen aan de kapitein, die jongens weten er best wel veel over, niet verlegen zijn om wat te vragen hoor.
