At Blue Boat Company, you will be accompanied on your cruise through "Mokum" (as the locals like to call it) by two very local guides: Ron & Nel. Married for over 40 years and living in Amsterdam for even longer, they are eager to share their love of the city with you! On their audio commentary filled with historical facts & stories, urban legends, humor & music, they take you back to the early days of the port of Amsterdam, as well as into the now of this vibrant city!

Our boats are equipped with an extensive Personal Audio System that lets you select your choice of commentary. So whether you listen to the "Experience Amsterdam with Ron & Nel" tour or the classic story, the choice is up to you. You can even switch during the cruise, as many times as you like. And of course we provide you with your own set of headphones, which are yours to keep. That is what we call Pleasure in Quality.

In winter, we close the roof and turn on the central heating, and in summer we open the roofs to let the sun & a fresh breeze in, so it is always comfortable on board. “This is the Better Canal Tour”

I got the I-Amsterdam card, which includes ONE tour on your choice of two canal tour boat companies. Last time I was in amsterdam, I took the other, since it was closer to the hotel in which I was staying. I was underwhelmed and almost skipped a canal trip this time. But, since I was staying near Leidseplein, I tried out the Blue Boat Company. Having now taken both, Blue Boat was BY FAR a better choice!
